My name is Gerrek Zwickle (hence Z's Blog), and I am a junior here at UNC studying to be a teacher. The technical term for my major is IDLA-English. That just means that I will teach elementary school and my emphasis is english. I love little kids, and I hope to one day enlighten the minds of America's youth one packed classroom at a time. I am often questioned on my major of choice, to which I say, "Suck it." I know that a male elementary school teacher is rare, and a male english major is also on the endangered species list, but I am okay with that. I will love my job and not make much money, while the business majors will deal with cubicles and petty crap and hate their life. (I give the speech much better in person) Along with loving children, I am a sports fanatic. I can talk about pretty much any sport and make a decent argument, maybe not cricket. I follow football closest and enjoy it nearly religiously. I will play sports any day of the week, whether it I am good at them or not. I generally think I am good at everything so that is not a problem... My sarcasm and ego are some of my major personality boosts, and they will come out even at the worst of times. I laugh at everything, and I generally love my life. I'm what they call optimistic I guess. If I haven't covered something that I should have, let me know. Enjoy my blog.
